Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum and would like to ask a question even though it's probably been beaten to death already. Sorry... I'm thinking about purchasing a JD 4115. The dealer gave me a quote and I would like to know if every one thinks it is fair or not. The quote is for a 4115 tractor with a 410 loader with bucket, and 60" mid mower. This price would include everything to mount and use the equipment. The price he gave me was $23,715.00 wich included tax and freight/setup fee. Thanks for your help...

It sounds $3-4k too high to me. For comparison, go to this link and see what they'd charge for the same thing. They list the 4115 with dual SCVs for loader right at $14k, 410 loader at $2460, and a 60" mmm at $2299. ....

Alfster.........noticed you're from Vermont. I priced a 4115 at R. N. Johnson in Walpole, NH, as well as RF Morse on Cape Cod and both (with the same FEL and MMM) came in at the high 19K range. Sounds to me like you might want to do some more exploring! ....

The price I was recently quoted on the 4115 w/ FEL and 60" MMM was $18,285. This price did not include sales tax or delivery to my place, but does include freight to the dealer and setup. ....

Thanks again to everybody for your input. Come to find out it seems the higher end cost is due to me trading in a 2001 425. The dealer already stated he could sell my tractor for the trade in price or a little more but he say's due to the trade in the numbers aren't the same. We went round and round on this and I still can't make sense of it. Have I mentioned how much I hate dealing with salesmen and the whole process of buying !! ....

I too am from Vermont and I have been doing some pricing.
Try Hendees in Middlebury or Yandow in Ferrisburgh.
I got some excellent prices at Hendees and felt it was very comparable to what pricing I have been reading about here.

Alfster, if the dealer gave you a high trade-in price value, then he is going to high ball you on the new machine price. Best bet is for you to sell your 425 out right yourself and make you best deal straight up with the dealer. ....
